What to expect

Booking Your Appointment
Once you have booked through our online system, you will receive a confirmation email along with a reminder before your appointment.

Initial Consultation
A thorough case history will be taken to understand your concerns. If your situation is complex, it can be helpful to bring notes, a list of medications, and any relevant letters or imaging you would like us to review. There will be plenty of opportunity to discuss your symptoms and what you hope to gain from treatment.
We will then carry out a physical assessment, which may require you to remove some clothing so we can examine you properly. This may include gentle palpation of the tissues and asking you to perform simple movements to assess how your body is functioning.
Based on this information, we will explain the likely cause of your symptoms and discuss a suitable treatment plan. Gaining a clear understanding of your condition can also help you manage it more effectively and support your recovery.
Treatment is tailored to your individual needs. Your practitioner will explain each step and what to expect. Techniques may include gentle joint or soft tissue work, sometimes focusing on areas away from the main site of discomfort, as the body functions as an interconnected whole.

Follow-Up Appointments
Follow-up sessions are usually shorter and focus primarily on treatment and your progress. We will review how you have responded since your last visit, make any necessary adjustments to your care plan, and continue with hands-on treatment. Advice and exercises may also be updated to support your recovery and help maintain the improvements achieved.
